Key Challenges & How BluEnt Solved Them
Challenges Faced by HFS

Despite running on a robust WordPress + AWS environment, the HFS platform
had grown into a heavy, multi-plugin ecosystem. As the platform expanded,
several UI/UX and performance challenges surfaced:
Inconsistent UI/UX Across Pages: Combination of Classic Editor and Elementor pages lead to inconsistent styling & layouts. This caused the Events, Research, Case Studies, Press Releases, and other major pages showcase different page templates. There was a lack of uniformity in the visual aspects which hampered user journey & experience.
Complex and Overloaded Navigation: The mega-menus were multi-layered, resulting in difficult navigation. Although filtering & search options were available, their design were not meant for natural usage.
Performance Bottlenecks: The site had over 60 plugins such as WooCommerce modules, Page Builder, RSS feeds that slowed down the download times. Also, the pages which had heavy media loaded very slowly due to restrictions in optimization.
Fragmented Content Experience: Manual uploading of contents resulted in inconsistency in formatting. Despite using Imsanity resizing, the media handling process was not efficient.
Search & Discoverability Issues: The user interface did not offer sufficient options to explore the contents despite having Relevanssi and Search & Filter Pro. Research tagging and associations were not visible in the user interface.
High Backend Complexity: With too many plugins, issues related to operational friction, security concerns, and maintenance overhead came into the light. Also, due to lack of a unified design system, repetitive manual work for every new page or content type.
